As with tradition this time of the year, I am off and on the road, visiting friends and family. I'm currently in Hagerstown, Maryland visiting my aunt and cousin (ask me about THAT 10+ hour ride down with my family....oye) and then it's off to Ruckersville, Virginia (yes, it's a real town) to visit some very good family friends for a crazy New Year's party, as only our two families can do it (we've been continuing this tradition since I was in 2nd grade, and it only gets better as we got older and our alcohol tolerance becomes greater/consumption became legal) .
So, Stella is in the very capable hands of my friend L, who is looking after her pony and my good mare all week.
Because of the lack of horse time, there will probably be a lack of horse posts, but fear not! I have come up with the excellent idea to do a post on DIY saddle fitting, something every horse owner should be able to do. It doesn't replace your Master Saddle Fitter, but it'll do a damn good job of keeping money in your pocket, making minor changes and making your horse happier.
Until then, safe travels everyone!
