But my mare says yes!
Spring may have (sort of) sprung, at least it did last week. The temps were in the 70's and 80's during the day and the horses were feeling it...poor Stella got heat stroke from just a few hours outside. She came inside looking droopy and depressed, didn't touch her food and instead laid down flat out for a nap...
Now, however, it's flurrying...my car was frozen this morning, a layer of ice on the windshield. The winds have been howling since last night. It's a chilly 27 degrees currently, but Stella is shed-shed-shedding away. Ernie was never a very good shedder...the hair would come and come and come but he never seemed to get any less wooly. Stella already has a very lovely, very shiny (and very red) summer coat coming through.
Nom nom nom nom...
There will be more coming later this week when I meet with L, the therapist I mentioned in an earlier post. I'm hoping the weather gets a little warmer; you know what they say about Vermont weather. "If you don't like it, wait 5 minutes."
