I'm so out of real ideas. The Succeed is either not doing it's job or there is something else going on. Donnie and I brainstormed while she recooped in her stall after the Banamine kicked in. What if this isn't colic? She poops, she passes gas, all during the episodes...what if this is some other kind of pain? What if this has something to do with the fact that she was essentially starved as a baby? She's being fed a lot of protein, maybe this is some sort of response to excess? Or is this really just a response to the incredible heat and humidity?
I don't know anymore. She's out of her heat cycle, so I think we've more or less ruled that out...but what to do, that's a question I can't answer right now...
Ugh.
Sounds like it could be a serious case of ulcers and what you're giving her just isn't doing the job. You could have her scoped to know for sure but it might be better just to do a 30 day course of omprandizole. Could be something else, but that seems to be the most likely cause.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kate - sounds like ulcers. Very, very serious ulcers.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep you in my thoughts. Things can only get better!
