Snowbound

I have little to say except for the fact that I am sick of Vermont weather. This is, apparently, the 5th worst winter season EVER recorded in VT, and that's saying a lot. We had massive flooding yesterday which turned into a white-out snow storm that dumped over two feet of snow in some areas. We got about 20" where I am, but still, C'MON. I want GREEN GRASS (OK, I'll take mud at this point, as long as the white stuff goes)...

So, now the barn is flooded with snow instead of water. And, oh, the only indoor arena I have access to is 1/2 flooded; there's vast amounts of water on one end, which is now frozen into a nasty, mucky sludge. It's not able to be ridden on. Which means Stella gets one more day off, which makes for at least 4 in a row due to weather, and is probably bursting at the seams with energy. Ernie got locked in last night, which upset him terribly, and I'm sure he spent most of the night weaving himself halfway to China, but he stands out in the muck and I'd rather him not, especially when I knew everything was going to freeze. I have nowhere to thaw frozen horsey blankets, hence my dilemma with Ernest, who loves nothing more than to stand outside ALL DAY in terrible, inclement weather.

With all this said, I am officially lacking motivation and ambition to do anything whatsoever. I took a nap today, and was still exhausted (classes were canceled and the college was closed due to the nastiness outside, which rarely happens, so yes, it was that bad...)...yuck.
