Yay Piccies!

As promised, many pictures of happy ponies during the warm spell the last few days (which is no longer, as Mother Nature has firmly squished that idea...but it was nice while it lasted!)

As I mentioned before, I had no sooner took Ernie's blanket off and put him back out when he trotted out (sound, might I add!) turned a few times, and dropped like a rock to roll in the snow.

I feels GOOD!

LOOK AT ME ROLL!!

He was nice a snowy after that, and it made me feel good to see him happy and, well, wet and dirty. He takes no greater pleasure than rolling, and when he was injured several years ago, he couldn't get down and roll. It's usually how I gauge his physical abilities as he's aged. If he can get down and roll and get back up without too much trouble, he's usually doing pretty good. When he's started to struggle, I've known something else is going on, because he loves it so much he'll only neglect to if he's really hurting.

All the horses spent most of the day napping in the sun. When I got to the barn everybody was laying down resting. It just makes me long for spring and summer even more...
