Here's To...

My incredibly amazing family: without their love and support, I wouldn't be anywhere near who I am today. We fight, we bicker, sometimes we irritate each other to no end, but we are always there for each other through thick and thin. Mom & Dad, your love is the most powerful thing on this earth, and I am so grateful for everything you have done for me.

My friends: there are very few people who know the true me, and to those of you who have stuck by my side through my ups and downs, and who have shared your lives with me, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Good, true friends are difficult to come by in the short span of a lifetime: Ren, Kayla, Eryn, Missy, Donnie: you have all touched my life in different ways, and while you're all so unique, you are all very special to me.

My boyfriend: it's hasn't been all that long since we got together, but Alex, I already care for you more than you know. We are so alike in so many fantastic ways, and not a day goes by where I am not amazed by you. You never settle for anything less than a smile from me, and you remind me each day that I have so much to be happy about.

And last, but certainly not least, Ernie and Stella: you two have blessed me more than either will ever be able to comprehend (damn you, evolution!) I love both of these horses with all that my heart has to give. Regardless of whether the day has been good or bad, long or short, I love nothing more than seeing these two happy, healthy and contented. I made myself a promise that any horse that came into my care would never go without: these two eat before me, get cleaned and bedded before me, and have the all the best I can provide to them. Their clothes are nicer than mine (and far more expensive!), they get full meal service, and there isn't a day that goes by where they aren't reminded of how amazing, beautiful/handsome, powerful and brilliant they are (sometime it's through gritted teeth, I'll admit, but it comes out one way or another). I hope I have many more years with the both of them.

I'm thankful for the roof over my head, the one that has always been promised to me if whenever I need it. I'm thankful that despite the economy, I can continue to learn and grow and support myself (more or less...). I'm thankful for every day I'm here, every lesson I'm taught, every day I have here with the people and animals I love.

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I hope you all are somewhere with plenty of warmth, food and good company. I know I am, and I'm so happy to be home.
